Junior Nationals

Faye Smith received the Jesse Duckett Scholarship. She was also third in Senior Arts and Crafts. In the Shorthorn Plus Heifer Show, she was reserve division in both the owned and bred and owned show.

Faye Smith and Tayler Bacon were second in Senior Team Sales.

Tayler also won her class in the Shorthorn Plus heifer show.

Jansen Gerstner had two class winners in the Purebred heifer show and one third overall in division.

Jake Nikkel had a division champion in the Purebred heifer show. (Jake is the outgoing Junior Board President, and he did a great job serving on the board!).

Josie Heter was 4th in Prospector 1 Speech and 4th in Arts and crafts.

Josie and Ryder Heter were 5th place in Prospector 1 Team Sales.

Ryder was third in Prospector 1 Speech and 5th in Arts and Crafts.

Faye Smith, Jansen Gerstner, Abby Brown, and Josie Heter competed in Quiz Bowl for Kansas.

Tayler Bacon, Faye Smith, Josie and Ryder Heter competed in Beef Cook-off.

Kansas was 4th in Herdsmanship for states with 20 head and under of cattle (we had 12 head exhibited and 8 juniors).
